4Kids Entertainment Acquires Di-Gata Defenders

NEW YORK, July 23: 4Kids Entertainment has secured the television
broadcast and merchandising rights from Nelvana Enterprises for the 2-D
animated action-adventure series Di-Gata Defenders.

The series will premiere on July 28 on the Saturday morning
programming block 4Kids TV on FOX
affiliates throughout the U.S. Di-Gata Defenders has spawned a toy line that includes dice, trading
cards and action figures, which are set to launch in the U.S. in spring 2008.
Also scheduled for a spring 2008 release is the Di-Gata handheld game for the Nintendo DS by The Game
Factory. Additionally, 4Kids Entertainment plans to develop a comprehensive
licensing and marketing program for Di-Gata Defenders this year. The companion Di-Gata website features online games, a creator's blog,
streaming video, music from the show and customized instant messaging avatars.

Co-produced by Nelvana Limited and LuxAnimation, the series
follows the adventures of four young heroes—the Di-Gata
Defenders—as they protect the Realm against the evil Order of Infinis.
With the help of powerful Guardians, the heroes will fight to control the
destiny of the four pure stones, which is the last line of protection between
the people of Rados and the villains who seek to rule them.
