3net Bulks Up Launch Slate

CULVER CITY: The recently launched 3D network 3net, a joint venture from Sony, Discovery and IMAX, has scheduled a further ten programs to premiere this month.

3net, which debuted February 13 on DIRECTV, will be rolling out original 3D series and new programs every night at 9 p.m. Original premieres include Oceana Airshow, which spotlights elite professions trained in aerial maneuvers and pyrotechnics. I (Almost) Got Away With It joins Puppy Bowl VII as further original debuts.

World 3D TV premieres include The Last Buffalo, featuring artist and inventor William Lishman; 3D Safari: Africa, a journey into the Dark Continent; and Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure, a nature drama narrated by Judi Dench. There’s also 3net premieres such as 3D Sun, exploring a solar blast from the sun’s surface to Earth’s Magnetosphere. Under the Sea 3D, narrated by Jim Carrey, explores the many fish of the oceans and also assesses the impact of global climate change on the Great Barrier Reef. Deep Sea 3D, narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, turns the lens on a variety of ocean life. Dinosaurs: Giants of the Patagonia, narrated by Donald Sutherland, travels back in time to when the largest animals roamed the earth in ancient Patagonia.
