3DD Secures Distribution Rights for Fashion Rocks Event

LONDON, April 10: 3DD
Entertainment has secured the worldwide TV and VOD rights to this year’s Fashion
Rocks
, excluding the U.K. and the
U.S.

The event takes place on
October 16 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Organized by Media Rocks Group,
the William Morris Agency and Branded Entertainment, coverage of the
extravaganza will be available as a 60- or 90-minute TV special. David Mallet
will direct, with Scott Millaney serving as executive producer for Big TV.

Formed in 2003, Fashion Rocks is a showcase event
pairing the biggest names in fashion with top music artists to aid The Prince’s
Trust, the charitable organization that originally created the event and
provides funding to support troubled and disadvantaged youth in the U.K. Last
year’s event was hosted by Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson, and featured
pairings such as Beyonce for Armani and Robbie Williams and Mariah Carey for
Versace.

“The challenge this year is to set a new creative benchmark and to
attract even more international audiences than previous Fashion Rocks events,” said
Scott Millaney, the executive producer for Big TV. “This year we want to
embrace both traditional terrestrial viewers and the ever-expanding world of
live Internet and streaming, for this is the future of this type of high
profile event, both for the major brands that support the franchise and the
global audience that is our market “

Lara von Ahlefeldt, the COO and
director of programs and acquisitions at 3DD, added: “Having already
collaborated on Fashion Rocks in 2003 and 2005, we have seen this
glittering event grow from a star-studded extravaganza to an internationally
recognized brand in its own right.
We are confident this year’s delivery will be a stellar success with
buyers worldwide.”
