Netflix Dominates Emmy’s Children’s Category

Three of the shows in the running for the Emmy for outstanding children’s program this year are on Netflix: Alexa & Katie, Fuller House and A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Rounding out the contenders this year are The Magical Wand Chase: A Sesame Street Special on HBO and Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD. The only kids’ show nominated for outstanding animated program, meanwhile, is Disney XD’s Baymax Returns, based on Big Hero 6.

Contenders for outstanding short-form animated program, meanwhile, almost all hail from Cartoon Network, with nods for Adventure Time, Steven UniverseTeen Titans Go! and We Bare Bears.
