MIPTV 2018 is introducing the Kids Live Action Pitch, a brand-new competition for creators and producers of live-action children’s series.
The Kids Live Action Pitch invites all creators and producers from around the world to present their new and original children’s live-action shows that have not yet been commissioned or released and for which global rights are still available. The call for entries begins today and ends February 16.
To enter, participants must submit an online form with a video or PDF file containing visual elements. Selection criteria includes creative and storytelling quality; original and innovative concept; fit with—or part of—the 6-to-12 demo; the capacity for returning or multiple series; and worldwide appeal.
The prize includes visibility during the on-stage pitching in Cannes; visibility in MIPTV 2018 communication and marketing tools; and organized one-to-one meetings with the jury members at the market. Finalists will be announced in March, with a mandatory preparatory and technical meeting for finalists scheduled to take place on April 8 or 9.
