Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends Series Set for Global Debut

LONDON: Rainbow’s first-ever full live-action production Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends is making its global premiere later this month.

The first episode of the series will air across Italy in prime time on Rai Gulp on August 29. Marking Rainbow’s first foray into full live-action production, Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends tells the story of an ordinary American girl named Maggie who dreams of becoming a fashion designer.

When she wins a scholarship to the Milan Fashion Academy, Maggie befriends Bianca, a self-proclaimed Italian “princess.” The two girls make many other friends who share their love for fashion and music, and they discover secrets that change their lives forever.

The global premiere of the series follows a screening at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy. Rainbow has already inked a pan-European master toy deal with Simba for the series.
