Teddy TV has acquired the local rights in Norway for Armoza Formats’ factual-entertainment show The Surprise Teacher.

The format was originally produced by Palomar Productions. Each week on The Surprise Teacher, a new celebrity surprises a class of high school students, interrupting their usual studies with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The celebrity becomes their substitute teacher, giving them a master class that reflects his or her passions and experiences.

Karre Hersoug, executive producer at Teddy TV, said, “The Surprise Teacher is a clever format with great potential. We are very much looking forward to presenting it to the Norwegian audience.”

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, commented, “By revealing celebrities through their lessons on The Surprise Teacher, where they share the issues and topics about which they are passionate, this format is able to inspire audiences of all ages. We are looking forward to working with Teddy TV on their local adaptation and to bringing this inspiration to Norwegian audiences.”
