Armoza Formats has licensed the prime-time singing competition The Four to Antenna Group’s Antenna TV (ANT1 TV) in Greece.

The format begins with four finalists being announced in the season premiere. In each episode, talented hopefuls will try to steal their seats. Anyone can become a contestant on the show by submitting through a dedicated app.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, commented: “With the success of The Four internationally, we are seeing that there continues to be a need for new and innovative singing shows for prime time. With emotional highs and lows in each episode creating entertaining TV for all ages, we look forward to seeing ANT1’s viewers connect with The Four.”

In other news, international music platform Spotify is partnering with Israel’s Reshet 13 on The Four to create a special section for the show, with songs and additional, exclusive content for viewers. This marks the first time that Spotify has backed an Israeli music competition.

Michael Krause, the managing director for EMEA at Spotify, remarked: “Spotify is the platform that connects music to people. Our partnership with The Four will allow fans of the show to connect with the music of the contestants that they love on a daily basis, allowing the contestants more exposure between episodes.”

Ami Glam, the VP of content at Reshet 13, noted: “Reshet 13 strongly believes in partnerships like this with international brands. I am proud to be launching the new music show The Four in cooperation with industry giant Spotify, allowing viewers to enjoy the quality musical experience after the broadcast and to continue enjoying the performances of the songs.”

Armoza added: “We are proud to partner with one of the biggest brands in the music industry to enhance the viewing experience that comes with The Four. By allowing The Four to be part of the daily lives of the Israeli viewers, their connection to the format, to the contestants and to Reshet 13 will only deepen.”
