CANNES/TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats’ new prime-time reality competition Curvy Supermodel has been snapped up by Polish media group Rochstar.

Curvy Supermodel is a plus-size modeling competition that aims to change how society defines beauty. The 5×120-minute show, which was also picked up in the Netherlands by Tuvalu Media, began airing on Germany’s RTL2 this fall. It is produced by Tresor TV.

Rinke Rooyens, the CEO of Rochstar, remarked: “It’s fantastic to be part of the change of how beauty is defined through this new prime-time reality competition. We are confident that broadcasters will love it as viewers can easily identify with the participants and their problems, recovering the confidence of the way they look…because curvy is beautiful!”

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, added: “We always look to content that carries a strong and inherent truth to ensure engaging content, and this is exactly what we saw in Curvy Supermodel. This is a prime-time show that, at its heart, brings an authentic and relatable story to life and we’re thrilled at the positive responses from the viewers and from the industry.”
