My Brilliant Friend Set for Venice Film Festival

The first two episodes of My Brilliant Friend, based on the best-selling novel from Elena Ferrante, will be screened as a worldwide premiere at the 75th Venice Film Festival.

My Brilliant Friend is an HBO-Rai Fiction and TIMVISION series produced by Lorenzo Mieli and Mario Gianani for Wildside and by Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in co-production with Umedia. Saverio Costanzo (In Memory of Me, Hungry Hearts) directs.

The series is written by Ferrante, Francesco Piccolo, Laura Paolucci and Costanzo. Jennifer Schuur serves as executive producer. FremantleMedia International is the international distributor.
