LOS ANGELES: J.J. Abrams is developing a new space-themed drama for HBO, produced by Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

It is still early days on the project, which has received a script development deal. Abrams is attached as executive producer on the one-hour drama, along with Ben Stephenson. Javier Gullón is serving as writer and executive producer. The series, currently titled Glare, will explore the colonization of another planet.

This marks the second collaboration between HBO and Abrams, who is an executive producer on the hit Westworld.
