Zodiak Intl. MD Gets Entertainment Post

LONDON: Jorg Roth, the managing director of Zodiak International, takes on a new role at Zodiak Entertainment, running the central entertainment division.

As the COO of entertainment, Roth will be responsible for building a new central unit to support the implementation of the group’s creative strategy. The acquisitions team comes with Roth to the new central unit, with several recruits expected to come in board in the months ahead. Roth will be working alongside Saku Tuominen, the chief creative officer, with both executives reporting to Giorgio Gori, the senior VP of Zodiak Entertainment.

Roth, who founded Bullseye Television, became managing director of Zodiak International when Bullseye was acquired by the company in 2007.

Gori commented, “Jorg’s passion and experience in the international television industry and his strong organizational skills make him the obvious candidate for this critical role. Jorg will be instrumental to achieving the company’s full potential in the genre of entertainment and we are very confident that we are putting this task into one of the most capable pairs of hands in the industry.”
