Ypsilon Films to Launch Real Pets at MIPCOM Jr.

BARCELONA, October 4: Spanish kids’ distributor Ypsilon Films is set to debut the new series Real
Pets
, targeted at 3- to
7-year-olds, at MIPCOM Jr.

Ypsilon has inked a deal for the worldwide distribution of
the series, which is ready for delivery. Real Pets consists of
120 episodes of seven minutes each, and can be delivered as 40 half-hours.

In Spain, the series
began airing on Telemadrid on September 29 in a morning slot on Saturdays and
Sundays. The sister digital channel also airs the series daily.

Directed by Manuel
Román and produced by Pets Entertainment, the series combines puppets, live
action and 3-D animation with “edutainment,” fun and songs.

Roberto Mitrani, the managing director of Ypsilon,
commented: “Real Pets is a series with
fun, universal values and unique characters. The show is a great combination of
quality puppetry and lovely storytelling. We are excited with the international
reaction to the property.”
