WWE Sets Up Shop in India

LONDON: WWE is opening up an office in Mumbai to drive the expansion of its business in India, to be led by Rukn Kizilbash as general manager.

Kizilbash, who previously held positions at Percept, Ten Sports, IMG and ESPN Star Sports, will report to Dominic Hayes, senior VP and managing director of WWE International. The office opens June 1. WWE programming is available in 75 million homes across India on Ten Sports.

“WWE is committed to growing our business to ensure that our international fans have the access they want to our products and our programs,” said Andrew Whitaker, executive VP of WWE International. “With the hiring of Rukn Kizilbash and the opening of the office in Mumbai, WWE expects to increase the revenue generated from India across all platforms, and bring our audience even more WWE excitement and products that they have desired.”
