World’s Strictest Parents Notches Up Sales

LONDON, January 16: Both format and finished program deals have been closed worldwide by Outright Distribution for World’s Strictest Parents, an original production from Twenty Twenty for BBC3.

In format deals, Kabel Eins in Germany and Seven Network in Australia have placed an order for ten episodes and six episodes, respectively. Format options have been completed with Endemol in Spain and production company Wilder in Italy.

The original 6×1-hour finished series went to Seven Network, Prime in New Zealand, TV Norge in Norway, TV3 in Ireland, SBS in the Netherlands and Liv in Finland.

Chris Bonney, the CEO of Outright Distribution, said: "These deals vividly bear out what we felt about the show from the start—World’s Strictest Parents is both an outstanding finished show and an utterly inspired format. To have two of the world’s key broadcasters go straight to series with the show proves that for quality factual entertainment it’s very much business as usual."
