World Screen to Present Content Trendsetter Awards

NEW YORK/PARIS: World Screen, in partnership with MIPCOM, will present the inaugural Content Trendsetter Awards in Cannes this October, honoring the achievements of some of the world’s top programming buyers.

This year’s honorees are Mike Cosentino, the senior VP of programming at Canada’s CTV Networks; Sarah Wright, the controller of acquisitions for entertainment at Sky in the U.K.; Carlos Sandoval, the general manager of content acquisitions, online video and business development at Mexico’s Televisa; and Jeff Ford, the director of programs at Channel 5 in the U.K.

These executives will receive the Content Trendsetter Award at the end of the Acquisition Super Panel—What do Buyers Want? session at MIPCOM. Taking place at the Grand Auditorium in the Palais on Wednesday, October 5 at 5 p.m., this must-attend panel will see the honorees discussing their buying strategies in conversation with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.
