NEW YORK: World Screen is staffing up its editorial division with the appointment of Sara Alessi as associate editor.

At World Screen, Alessi will contribute to all of the group’s English-language publications, in print and online. Alessi joins World Screen from VideoAge International, where she has been assistant editor for the last five years. During this time, Alessi oversaw a daily online newsletter, contributed to features and attended various trade markets throughout the year.

The latest addition to the team follows a recent restructuring of World Screen’s editorial department that saw the promotions of Kristin Brzoznowski to executive editor and Mansha Daswani to editor, with Anna Carugati continuing to serve as group editorial director. Alessi joins an English-language editorial team that also includes fellow associate editor Joanna Padovano and assistant editor Joel Marino.

“We’re delighted to have Sara join World Screen,” says Daswani. “Her experience in covering the international television business will be a great asset as we continue to roll out new services for our readers around the world.”
