World Media Rights Acquires Nugus/Martin Productions

LONDON, May 7: World Media Rights (WMR) has acquired the
complete catalogue and production business of Nugus/Martin Productions, which
totals more than 800 programs and 3,000 hours of archive footage dating back to
1895.

WMR will be investing in future Nugus/Martin Productions in
order to secure rights for the company in as many territories and in as many
media as possible. Nugus/Martin Productions is well known for its high-quality
historical programming, including Churchill’s Bodyguard and World War One in Colour, which have sold into more than 100 countries.
Nugus/Martin Productions was created by Philip Nugus and Jonathan Martin in
1990.

WMR was created in 2005 by Andrew Neil and Alan Griffiths to
acquire rights in British factual and entertainment programming.

Nugus commented: “We are delighted that we will be working
with World Media Rights to bring in a new era where companies can get
productions with global appeal into the market fast, using their own capital.
This deal will allow us to expand our catalogue, which is in much demand. We
have just signed our first broadband deal with Amazon to allow U.S. users to
download our extensive catalogue and two further major broadband deals are
imminent.”
