Vongo, Starz Media Ink Digital Download Deal

ENGLEWOOD, January 23: Starz Media has licensed more than
250 of its movie and video titles to Vongo, Starz Entertainment’s broadband
video download platform, for VOD rental and electronic sell-through.

The multiyear content licensing and distribution agreement
with Vongo includes 13 thriller-horror movies from the first season of the Masters
of Horror
series, as well as The
Evil Dead
. Anime programs such as Ghost
in the Shell
and Ninja Scroll are on offer, plus Astro Boy, Blood,
The Last Vampire, the Street
Fighter Alpha feature and the Street Fighter II series.

"We are pleased to license a wide and varied collection
of content from our sister company, Starz Media, for the growing Vongo
platform," said Bob Greene, the executive VP of advanced services for
Starz Entertainment. "While the subscription enjoyment of movies and video
content continues to differentiate Vongo from all others in the marketplace,
our unique position relative to our digital download peers allows us to bring
in rich content—such as that from Starz Media—as a wonderful
complement. Only on Vongo can you electronically rent by pay-per-view and also
subscribe to major theatrical motion pictures and other video content by way of
electronic downloads."

Vongo subscribers have unlimited access to more than 1,000
movies and 2,500 total video selections as well as a live, streaming Starz TV
channel for a monthly cost of $9.99.
