Virgin Media, Two Way TV Strike Content, Technology Deal

LONDON, May 18: Two Way TV
has reached a long term content deal with Virgin Media for its skill-based
games service and its interactive gaming channels, The Winner Channel and The
Roulette Channel.

The content deal will
enable Virgin Media to place Two Way TV’s games, gaming TV channels and
competitions with a number of third-party broadcasters. Deals are already in
place with ITV, Five, Challenge, and Cartoon Network.

Virgin Media has also
acquired Two Way TV’s Ark Technology for the U.K. and Ireland, for an
undisclosed sum. For the past six years, Virgin Media has used the Ark
Technology, under license from Two Way TV, to manage all interactive services
across its platforms.

Peter Chapman, Virgin
Media’s head of content acquisition, commented: “Two Way TV’s games and gaming
channels have proved popular with cable audiences and we’re very pleased that
we are able to extend these interactive services and secure them for the long
term.”
