Virgin Media TV Taps Barham for Top Acquisitions Role

LONDON, July 10: Virgin Media Television has consolidated
the acquisitions activities for its various brands under the leadership of Amy
Barham, adding Bravo, Challenge and Trouble to her remit.

Barham is now head of acquisitions for Virgin Media Television,
following a successful stint managing the program purchases for
LIVING—for which she recently acquired Lipstick Jungle and Private Practice—LIVING2 and Virgin1, where pickups have
included Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Chuck.

The restructure sees Ronan Hand promoted to acquisitions
manager for Virgin1, Bravo and Bravo 2, and Alex Ayling joining the team from
MTV UK as acquisitions executive for LIVING and LIVING2. Brad Wood continues as
acquisition executive for Challenge. They will be supported by acquisitions
assistant Tara Harris. All report directly into Barham.

Claudia Rosencrantz, the director of television for VMtv,
noted: “I am delighted about the new, centralized acquisitions team. Amy now
has a strong and talented team in place, coupled with her expertise in the
international marketplace; the team can amplify the success already achieved.”
