Syfy Orders More Destination Truth

NEW YORK: A fifth season of seven new episodes is in the works for the investigative reality series Destination Truth, slated to premiere on Syfy in early 2012.

The paranormal series follows host Josh Gates as he explores the unknown corners of our world. The fifth season will see Gates leading a team into a remote Transylvanian village on a hunt for vampires, explore the reportedly haunted Mayan ruins of Tikal in Guatemala, and descend into one of the world’s biggest caves in the jungles of Vietnam to search for phantoms. The team returns to Romania for a visit to a haunted forest. The new season will also take viewers to Kazakhstan.

Destination Truth is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Productions. Gates and Erin Ryder serve as co-executive producers.
