Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has elevated Jill Offman to executive VP and head of Paramount Channel, while Alex Okosi will manage BET International in addition to VIMN Africa.

Offman is being promoted to executive VP and adds oversight of Paramount Channel to her current post as head of Comedy Central International and managing director of MTV UK and Comedy Central UK. Okosi, who serves as executive VP and managing director of VIMN Africa, adds oversight of BET in all markets outside of the U.S. Previously, those brands were handled internationally by Michael D. Armstrong, who was recently named general manager of BET Network.

In their newly expanded positions, both execs will work under David Lynn, VIMN’s president and CEO. In addition, Offman will continue to report to James Currell, the president and managing director of VIMN UKNEE, and Okosi will still work under Raffaele Annecchino, the president and managing director of VIMN SWEMEA, with respect to their existing cluster-specific roles.

“Jill is a creative, strategic leader whose vision continues to drive share and distribution growth for Comedy Central internationally,” stated Lynn. “In this new role, she will lead the international development of one of the most iconic entertainment brands in the world.”

“Alex expertly spearheaded the growth and expansion of Viacom in Africa, and has overseen the creation of an incredible variety of content and experiences that spotlight the best of African-American and African culture and creativity,” added Lynn. “I look forward to seeing him bring that same passion and strategic approach to the BET brand in markets around the world.”
