Video Interview: Gaumont International Television’s Erik Pack

NEW YORK: Erik Pack, the head of international distribution and co-production at Gaumont International Television, talks about how the company tries to give the creatives that it works with as much freedom as possible to execute their vision.

When Gaumont International Television made its foray into producing original series, it did so with a big splash. Its first two projects out of the gate, Hemlock Grove for Netflix and Hannibal for NBC, have both been picked up for third seasons. Both series also have a top pedigree of talent attached, with renowned horror filmmaker Eli Roth behind Hemlock Grove and Pushing Daisies’ creator Bryan Fuller as showrunner on Hannibal.

Pack also talks about the new projects that Gaumont International Television has in production for Netflix: the crime drama Narcos and the animated comedy F is for Family.
