Viasat Bags MLS Matches

STOCKHOLM, August 2: Viasat Broadcasting has secured the
rights to air Major League Soccer from the U.S. in Scandinavia, the Baltic
States and the CIS countries.

Viasat’s deal comes on the heels of English football star
David Beckham joining the LA Galaxy MLS team, who are set to play Toronto on
Sunday. Viasat’s MLS coverage kicked off today on Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat
Sport East with New England versus Kansas City. Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat East
will broadcast up to two matches from MLS every week.

Viasat’s portfolio of football coverage includes the
majority of the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish national teams’ away fixtures in
the qualifying rounds for Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. Viasat also airs
the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, the English FA Cup, the Danish Premier
League, the French Premier League and the Dutch League.
