VH1 Pulls Reality Show

NEW YORK: Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a contestant on the VH1 reality show Megan Wants a Millionaire, is wanted for questioning in the death of his ex-wife, and the network has subsequently pulled any future airings of the series.

Jenkins, who the contestants took to calling "Smooth Operator" on the show, has been named as a "person of interest" in the death of his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, whom he met after taping for the VH1 series finished. Jenkins appeared in three episodes of Megan Wants a Millionaire, a dating series about a woman who is looking to land a wealthy bachelor. On the show, he was identified as an investment banker who had a couple million dollars.

VH1 released an official statement on the event: "Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on Megan Wants A Millionaire, an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family."
