NEW YORK: The U.S. Hispanic channel V-me is to become a nationally rated network of The Nielsen Company starting January 2011.

The three-year-old network is now available in 10.2 million households in the U.S. The channel recently announced a new branding campaign that puts its mission into a single word: Contigo, which in English means "together with you."

"V-me is really striking a chord with our viewers. We know from our ongoing Simmons data that V-me viewers are different, desirable and often not watching other Spanish networks," said Carmen DiRienzo, the president and CEO. "This provides opportunities to reach an unduplicated set of viewers. We are pleased to become rated by Nielsen and move into this next phase for our network, our advertisers and our viewers."
