Universal, ReelTime Launch Australian Download-to-Own Movie Service

SYDNEY, November 28: Universal Pictures Australasia and
ReelTime Media are set to launch a movie download-to-own service, featuring
secure burn technology, in Australia and New Zealand tomorrow.

Consumers will be able to purchase Universal Pictures titles
on the same day as their retail DVD release, via the www.reeltime.tv portal.
Movies can be downloaded onto a Windows-compatible PC or laptop and a portable
device. Movies will be able available for burning to DVD.

Eddie Cunningham, the newly named president of Universal
Pictures International Entertainment, noted, “Universal is very proud to
consolidate our global DTO leadership by unveiling the first ever download
model in the international market to incorporate secure burn technology. This
key feature gives consumers full flexibility and control over how they enjoy
our movies.”

The service will initially feature 35 Universal titles,
including Miami Vice, The Fast
& Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Break Up, The Bourne Supremacy, King Kong, The
40 Year Old Virgin
and Curious
George
. This will build to a larger range of around 100 titles in
late 2006/early 2007. Downloads will be priced from A$19.98, with new release
titles averaging A$33.98.
