Universal Channel Boosts Slate in Poland

LONDON: Universal Networks International has acquired Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods from CBS Studios International for broadcast on Universal Channel in Poland this month.

Other key acquisitions rolling out on UNI channels in Central and Eastern Europe this winter include a second season of The Good Wife in Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia; season two of Nurse Jackie in Russia, Romania and Poland; season three of Castle in Poland and Romania; and season four of The Closer in Poland and Russia.

“These acquisitions, along with UNI’s focus on rolling out original series and co-productions—such as Haven and Rookie Blue—reinforce our worldwide channels’ prioritization of premiere content," said Martin Irusta, senior VP of global programming and acquisitions at Universal Networks International.
