TOULOUSE: UFC Fight Pass, the UFC’s digital streaming service, has secured content from sports distributor Fighting Spirit, to be released this spring.

The acquisitions are Fighting Spirit’s TKO library, known as the home of famed MMA athlete Georges St-Pierre in his early career; the Cage Rage library, which Fighting Spirit partially owns; and Pancrase, the Asian MMA competition which has held 260 events since ’93. Fighting Spirit is the exclusive TV distributor of Pancrase worldwide.

Fighting Spirits CEO Laurent Pourrut said it “is a real recognition of Fighting Spirit’s ability to discover future talents and future big brands. We are pleased to participate with UFC Fight Pass’s ever growing library.”

Marshall Zelaznik, UFC chief content officer, added: “We’re very happy to have reached an agreement with Fighting Spirit to enable us to bring these historic libraries to our UFC Fight Pass members. The ability to enjoy some of the early career fights of UFC stars like Ken Shamrock, Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva is a great added value to our fans.”
