Twentieth Television Acquires TV Azteca Novela Format

CITY, September 19: Twentieth Television has licensed the format of La
Heredera (The Heiress), one of TV Azteca’s most successful telenovelas,
and will adapt it in English for MyNetworkTV in the U.S.

TV Azteca’s La Heredera
tells the story of Maria Claudia,
the young daughter of the family Madero Grimaldi, who is the heiress of the
enormous family business. The finished telenovela, consisting of 200 episodes,
was sold to more than 30 countries around the world and features the Mexican
novela mega-stars Silvia Navarro and Sergio Basañez.
