Twentieth Century Fox to Offer New Reality Format at MIPTV

LOS ANGELES, April 4:
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution will be offering the new reality
format When Women Rule the World to
international buyers at MIPTV.

The series, from the
producers of Temptation Island and
Joe Millionaire, features 10
women on a primitive island where 12 men will compete for $250,000. What the
men don’t know is that in order to win, they will have to please the women, who
are the island rulers.

When Women Rule the
World is set to make its U.S.
debut on FOX this June, and a British adaptation is currently in production for
Channel 4. A central facility is now being established on an exotic island in
the Dominican Republic to accommodate upcoming international productions that
wish to use it.

“This new format has a
very real potential to become the next breakout hit in the reality genre in all
territories,” commented Denis Cantin, Fox’s director of format sales. “When
Women Rule the World combines the
best elements of relationships, competition and adventure resulting in a
combination of struggles, intrigue and raw emotions in ways that viewers will
find compelling and entertaining.”
