Twentieth Century Fox in Israeli On Demand Deal

LOS ANGELES, January 10: Twentieth Century Fox has inked a
deal with Israeli cable platform HOT to make both new releases and classic
library films available to subscribers on an on-demand basis.

This is Fox’s first video on
demand deal in the Israeli market, according to Jamie McCabe, the EVP of
worldwide PPV, VOD and EST at the studio. “Israel has always been a strong pay
per view market and we think the benefits of VOD will provide an even more
convenient way for our films to be enjoyed.”

Fox titles that will be offered
on demand via HOT set-top boxes include Walk the Line, Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and X-Men the Last Stand.

The HOT VOD service, launched
in February 2005, has more than 300,000 subscribers.
