Zee Inks Sales for The Life of Earth from Space Across Europe

Global Content Hub by Zee has signed multiple European deals for the blue-chip documentary The Life of Earth from Space.

Geo TV, RTL in Germany’s pay-TV service, will broadcast the premium documentary in the country. Discovery has picked up the program for its U.K., Spain and Benelux channels, while France’s Planète+ has acquired it for France and Africa. NRK in Norway, Servus TV in Austria and RTL’s new channel N-TV in Germany will also broadcast The Life of Earth from Space.

The Life of Earth from Space, a two-hour 4K/UHD feature documentary, delves into the planet’s 4.5 billion-year history from the vantage point of space. It uses a combination of footage and CGI—from thermal imaging of the first humans crossing the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia, to views from the International Space Station transformed to show Earth as it would have looked thousands of years ago. The doc is a co-production between Zee Entertainment, Talesmith U.K. and the Smithsonian Channel.
