Dino Birds, on offer from ZDF Studios, examines how birds became the most diverse group of vertebrates, thriving in nearly every habitat on the planet.

Dino Birds uses the latest technologies to bring prehistoric times to life on our screens,” says Dr. Markus Schäfer, president and CEO of ZDF Studios. “This is a topic of interest to audiences worldwide, as reflected in the impressive list of co-production partners: Pernel Media, in association with France Télévisions, Ushuaïa TV, WGBH/NOVA, Radio-Canada, NHK, CCTV-9 and ZDF Studios.”

How We Celebrate delves into the history behind holidays such as Carnival, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween and more. “While traditions may differ across the globe, one thing unites us—we love to celebrate,” Schäfer says.

Iconic Islands of the Indian Ocean showcases the nature of the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and La Réunion and highlights the threats they are under. “Islands of the Indian Ocean, produced by Doclights and BLUEPLANETFILM in association with NDR, WDR, ARTE, Terra Mater Studios, NHK and ZDF Studios, does not only show breathtaking pictures,” Schäfer says. “The legendary diversity and beauty of the coral reefs, and the rare and protected double coconut, the Coco del Mar, are sadly under threat. Due to increasingly large amounts of refuse washing up on the beaches, the coral reefs are dying, and mangroves are disappearing. Can this delicate natural paradise be saved?”

Schäfer adds: “We are using the time before the start of the international summer holidays to meet our customers in person and inform them about our new programs. And, of course, we have much more to offer than just the three briefly presented here—so please feel free to contact our sales teams.”
