Workerbee Commissioned for Second Janet Jackson Doc

Lifetime and A&E have commissioned Janet Jackson: Family First, a follow-up to the 2022 documentary Janet Jackson., from Banijay UK’s Workerbee.

The new documentary will chronicle the iconic singer’s life as she embarks on her 2023 Together Again tour and her collaboration with brother Randy Jackson to reunite the family band after 40 years since their last performance. It will provide an exclusive, intimate look at her life, family and artistry through her own words and experiences.

Janet Jackson: Family First is currently filming and will simulcast on Lifetime and A&E. It is being directed by Ben Hirsch, with both Janet and Randy Jackson as executive producers. Workerbee’s Rick Murray and A&E’s Brie Miranda Bryant are also executive producers. AEC (Associated Entertainment Corporation) is a co-producer.
