Wonderhood Television, the television arm of Wonderhood Studios, has made two key promotions within development and operations.

Former head of production Lianne Hickey has been promoted to director of productions and operations. Since joining Wonderhood in 2022, Hickey has worked across a slew of programs for Channel 4 and has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth.

With over 25 years of experience, Hickey has worked on award-winning shows and has a BAFTA nomination for The Rap Game UK. Before joining Wonderhood in 2022, Hickey served at Naked Television, and prior to Naked, she worked at Firecracker Films.

Former head of development Tom Garton has been promoted to the newly created role of director of development.

Tom Garton has played a significant role in Wonderhood’s creative growth since joining the indie in 2019. Starting as a development executive, Garton was then promoted to head of development in 2022. He has developed and produced premium factual films and series for Sky Documentaries, Paramount+, BBC and more.

Samantha Anstiss, chief creative officer of Wonderhood Television, said: “As Wonderhood Studio grows, it’s so wonderful to see Lianne and Tom’s own careers flourish and responsibilities increase.

“Lianne joined us over a year ago and has been a key part of our growth and brings over 20 years of experience to help us grow in scale and production capability. Tom arrived in our first year and has been instrumental in securing commissions for the BBC, Paramount+, C4, Sky Documentaries, C5, Smithsonian and ITV; secured developments for SVODs and U.S. channels; and is now executive producing an exciting new documentary rig series.”
