Web Celebrities to Compete in Latest Run of The Amazing Race

NEW YORK: A slew of social-media stars are set to take part in the latest installment of CBS’s The Amazing Race, with host Phil Keoghan live streaming for the first time from the competition’s first destination.

The long-running reality show’s 28th season will have 11 teams, each made up of at least one web celebrity. Those duos are social-media influencers Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl; Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins, co-hosts of gaming site Rooster Teeth; Erin White Robinson and Joslyn Davis, hosts of YouTube entertainment channel Clevver; Vine star Cole LaBrant and his mother, Sheri; Zach King, who is known as the Magic Viner, and his wife Rachel; Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina, famous for their YouTube dance tutorials; Instagram models Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff; viral-video sensation Marty Cobb and her daughter Hagan Parkman; beauty YouTuber Blair Fowler and her dad, Scott; pro Frisbee players Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith; and brothers Cameron and Darius Benson, who post their stunts on Vine.

The first leg of the race is slated to commence November 15. Keoghan will film scenes from the event for a live stream on Facebook and Twitter.
