Wag Entertainment, an Asacha Media Group company, has tapped Spun Gold TV alum Jane Glasson as director of U.K. development.

Glasson will focus on developing new content to build on Wag’s expansion into the U.K. and its slew of recent orders from streamers and broadcasters.

In her new role, Glasson will work alongside Bri Marzigliano, head of U.S. development, and will report to Bridget Boseley, creative director.

Glasson joins the company from Spun Gold TV, where she spent five years as head of development. She was responsible for commissions such as The Grand Party Hotel (BBC One), Inside Dubai: Playground of the Rich (BBC Two), My Years with the Queen (ITV), Inside Westminster Abbey (Channel 5), Inside the Caribbean (Channel 4) and popular crime series and specials for Channel 5 and 5Star.

Prior to that, Glasson headed development at Scream Films. She has developed and produced shows for networks and streamers such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, TLC, National Geographic, Disney+ and Apple TV at companies including Tiger Aspect Productions, September Films, StoryVault Films and Burning Bright Productions.

“I’m delighted to be working with Jane again,” Boseley said. “She has a proven track record of creating successful shows across a wide variety of genres for a range of networks. She’ll be instrumental as we continue to grow our business, expanding our slate and our partnerships with broadcasters and streamers in the U.K. and internationally.”

Glasson added, “I’m really thrilled to be joining Steven, Bridget and the Wag team at an exciting time for the company and with a lot of opportunities to build its business going forward.”
