Viasat World to Roll Out Female Entertainment Channel Across Africa

LONDON: Viasat World is launching Viasat Life, its first-ever female-skewing entertainment channel, on three platforms across Africa.

Viasat Life will be available on StarTimes, Wananchi Group’s triple-play platform Zuku and Intelvision beginning January 2, 2017. Viasat Life targets young families with kids, as well as adults in the 25 to 49 demo. The channel will debut with key titles such as Wake Up Call with Dwayne Johnson, Cooking for Real, Mary Mary and Bridezilla. Other shows include House of Curves, I Do Over, Bye Felicia! and The Three Day Nanny. The new lifestyle channel features exclusive premieres of self-improvement-themed programming and factual-entertainment programming from across the globe.

The channel joins Viasat World’s portfolio of flagship networks that already broadcast on StarTimes, including Viasat Explore, Viasat History and Viasat Nature.
