Viasat World has signed a deal with Beyond Rights for a total of 72 hours of content.

The package features shows that will premiere for the first time in CEE, the Nordics, Russia and CIS on Viasat Explore, Viasat History and Viasat Nature, as well as titles that are returning to the broadcaster’s flagship channels. For Viasat Explore, the deal includes season three of Bangers & Cash, season three of Massive Engineering Mistakes and seasons two through four of Heavy Rescue: 401.

For Viasat History, Countdown to War (for CEE and Nordics only) is a new three-part series that looks at the lead-up to World War II, specifically through the eyes of Adolf Hitler. On Viasat Nature, Aussie Snake Wranglers will follow the busiest snake-catching team in Australia as they face some of the deadliest animals on the planet. Both are brand new titles for the region.

Viasat World has secured exclusive pay-TV and catch-up rights on all titles, in addition to some SVOD exclusives and FTV holdback periods as part of the deal.

Karin Heijink, senior VP of content, marketing and products at Viasat World, said: “This sizable deal cements our long-standing and important partnership with Beyond Rights as a leader in the factual-content space. These strong and compelling titles are a perfect match with our clearly defined content pillars for each channel, and as such, we expect them to be solid ratings drivers with our loyal audiences.”

Holly Cowdery, VP of sales for CEEMEA and Nordics at Beyond Rights, added: “Viasat World’s factual channel portfolio is renowned for its quality programming, and as a major supplier of content in this genre, they are a key partner for us. We’re pleased to agree to this deal, which means viewers across CEE, Nordics, Russia and CIS can continue to enjoy their favorite shows while gaining access to the very best new content in the genre.”
