Viasat True Crime Continues European Rollout

Viasat World is bringing its new crime-themed television channel, Viasat True Crime, to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia this month.

Viasat True Crime focuses exclusively on true-crime programming, including marquee documentaries of real-life cases, dramatic true-crime series and crime-fighting reality shows. Viasat World has secured the SVOD and FAST rights for much of its content.

The carriage deals are in place with Vodafone in Czechia, where the new channel will be included together with Epic Drama in the Family and AllinOne packages, as well as T-Mobile Czech Republic, which will include the new channel in the MAGENTA TV L and XL packages. In Slovakia, Slovak Telekom will include Viasat True Crime in the Magio TV, Voľný čas package together with Epic Drama and Swan. In Slovenia, T-2 Slovenia will include Viasat True Crime in the extended basic tier package.

Viasat True Crime launched in Poland with Canal+ earlier this year. In Croatia, Viasat True Crime will soon launch on Croatian Telecom’s TV platforms.
