Universum Titles a Hit at World Congress of Science & Factual Producers

VIENNA: At this year's World Congress of Science & Factual Producers (WCSFP), ORF-Enterprise, which hosted the event, sold a number of titles from its Universum strand, including Making an Ancient Forest: Kalkalpen National Park.

Making an Ancient Forest: Kalkalpen National Park is headed to Nat Geo International, which also went for Dolomites: In the Heroes' Garden. Making an Ancient Forest: Kalkalpen National Park was also snapped up by WNET for broadcast in the U.S.

A variety of wildlife docs, including Wild Venice, Return of the Hoopoe and A Tiger Called Broken Tail have been licensed by SRC in Canada. The historical drama Lost City of the Gladiators is slated to begin airing on Germany's ZDF.

The 2015 edition of WCSFP wrapped today in Vienna. The event was attended by more than 700 delegates from such international broadcasting companies as ZDF, BBC, ARTE, ABC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, NHK and more.
