UKTV to Co-Produce Help! My House is Haunted!

LONDON: UKTV has come on board as a co-producer for the paranormal show Help! My House is Haunted! with MY Entertainment and Back2Back Productions.

The 12×1-hour series comes from Zak Bagans, the creator, executive producer and host of the U.S. series Ghost Adventures. The show will feature an expert team of international investigators—Chris Fleming, Sandy Landar and Barri Ghai—who go into homes that are believed to be haunted. Using their years of expertise and highly specialized technical equipment, the team sets to work to find answers to the unexplained. The series will broadcast on UKTV’s free-to-air entertainment channel Really in early 2018.

Emma Sparks, acquisitions and co-production manager for UKTV, said: “Our viewers love Zak so we’re thrilled to have another ‘Zak Bagans’ show exclusive to Really. I am delighted to be working with Michael, Zak and David on this brand new series, My Entertainment are leaders in the paranormal genre so we know we’ll have a hit series and it’s great that the team will be coming over to the U.K. to investigate the paranormal activity in our family homes.”

Michael Yudin, CEO of MY Entertainment, said: “We launched a unique global development strategy a few years ago and it is proving to be a successful one. The combination of Emma Sparks, Zak Bagans, David Notman-Watt and Alfred Haber makes for a unique and formidable team. The truth is, this would have never happened without Emma’s foresight and determination. It is so great to work with an executive who is open minded and committed to trying new ways of doing business, and expand on the success of their paranormal programming.”

David Notman-Watt of Back2Back said: “Zak Bagans and Michael Yudin take paranormal programming to a new level, and Back2Back are thrilled to be partnering with them both. With this series UKTV is setting out to explore house hauntings around the U.K. that defy belief, telling stories that will raise the bar in ghost adventures to even greater heights.”
