The factual distributor TVF International is set to launch more than 300 hours of new content on its slate, including five documentaries covering aspects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the COVID-19 docs are two Channel 4 commissions from Britespark Films, What’s it Like to Catch Coronavirus? and Coronavirus: How the World is Changing. From Mediacorp International comes Coronavirus: The Silent Killer, Coronavirus: Race Against the Pandemic and Stronger: The Battle Against COVID-19, each exploring the pandemic from a different angle. Also from Mediacorp, TVF International added the latest season of the investigative series Undercover Asia to its lineup of new titles.

TVF International is launching a number of brand-new science programs such as China’s Science Revolution and Venus Death of a Planet, as well as new seasons Innovation Nation and Did I Mention Invention. The distributor’s history lineup features VE Day: Minute by Minute, Mark of Empire: Asia’s Ancient Kingdoms and Secret Wars.

The blue-chip nature series River World and Animal Instincts are also in the catalog alongside three BBC access-driven series—Inside the Children’s Hospital, Inside Edinburgh Zoo and Night Force. In health and lifestyle programming, there’s Hack Your Age, Ageless Gardens and Remarkable Living. Travel series include Destination Vacation and On Safari. Further, TVF International is releasing two brand-new feature-length documentaries, Hurdle, about a generation of Palestinians who practice parkour as a means to overcome personal and political obstacles; and El Metido, which follows a man obsessed with recording violent crime in Guatemala City.

Additional slate highlights include EVA, made for NENT Group’s Viaplay platform, which showcases the story of the world champion boxer Eva Wahlstrom; and a fifth season of Peer to Peer, which features interviews with Bill Gates, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Mike Pompeo and Nancy Pelusi.

Will Stapley, TVF International’s head of acquisitions, said: “TVF’s slate of specialist factual content showcases the world’s best filmmakers and our latest offering of carefully selected documentaries will inspire, inform and entertain at a time when the world has never had a more captive audience.”
