TVF Inks Raft of Sales for COVID-19 Docs

TVF International has secured a number of sales with broadcasters across the world for five different documentaries about the coronavirus pandemic.

Coronavirus: How the World is Changing, produced by Britespark Films and commissioned by Channel 4, has been picked up by Spain’s RTVE, Australia’s ABC and Denmark’s DR. The documentary explores the long-term economic and social impact of the pandemic and what the world will look like post-COVID-19. Also from Britespark Films for Channel 4 is What It’s Like to Catch Coronavirus?, in which producers sent cameras to people across the U.K. diagnosed with the virus to document their personal experiences, both physically and mentally.

Coronavirus: The Silent Killer, one of three films from ChannelNewsAsia, investigates the origins and spread of the virus. It was acquired by Bild in Germany, Al Jazeera in MENA, PBS in the U.S., Yes DBS in Israel, HRT in Croatia, OPF in Austria, Enjoy Culture in Taiwan, AMC Networks in Iberia, Pro Plus in Slovenia and LNK in Lithuania. Stronger: A Battle Against COVID-19, which takes a look at Singapore’s success at stopping the spread of the virus, has been picked up by YLE in Finland, RTS in Switzerland, ABC in Australia, Al Arabiya in the Middle East, Enjoy Culture in Taiwan, TVP in Poland, Foxin India and Alexander Street Press. The science-focused Race Against the Pandemic was licensed by Fox Channels in Latin America and India, Al Hurra in the Middle East, Enjoy Culture in Taiwan, TVP in Poland and Alexander Street Press.
