The Story Lab & Renowned Films Collab on You Are Not a Loan

The Story Lab has entered into a partnership with Renowned Films that includes joining forces for the brand-new factual-entertainment show You Are Not a Loan.

Through the strategic partnership, The Story Lab and the London- and Los Angeles-based Renowned Films will co-create factual-entertainment content for global audiences across platforms and brands. Together, the companies will develop projects over the next two years, with a focus on returnable entertainment and factual series that complement The Story Lab’s growing content slate, global footprint and client base.

You Are Not a Loan, the first project to be announced from the partnership, is a social-experiment series that sees a town’s collective debt pooled for the greater good. Filmed over the course of a year, the series follows along as 30 people from a single postcode band together to tackle their debt. Co-created and developed together, You Are Not a Loan will be produced initially by Renowned Films for the U.K. and key international markets, and The Story Lab will handle the global rights for the format and brand partnerships.
