The Content Group (TCG), part of Asylum Entertainment Group, has promoted Ariel Brozell to senior VP of development and hired Amanda Perse as senior manager of development.

Brozell will continue to develop docuseries and formats for broadcast and streaming platforms. She has been instrumental in creating TCG series such as King of the Con for discovery+.

Previously, Brozell was director of current and development at VH1, where she oversaw all aspects of new and returning programs, including Dating Naked, Barely Famous and Scared Famous. Prior to that, she served as director of development at Fremantle.

Perse has experience as a research producer at Renegade 83 (Murder by Morning for Oxygen Media), Propagate Content (City Confidential for A&E) and Dorsey Pictures (Accident, Suicide, Murder for Oxygen Media). She began her career in development at STX Entertainment and Wilshire Studios.

Brozell and Perse will work alongside Lynn Hamilton, senior director of development. Perse will report to Brozell, who will report directly to Jodi Flynn, president.

“Ariel has played an integral role in shaping the company’s creative development strategy,” said Flynn. “She embodies a powerful combination of sharp instincts and broad industry knowledge, which earned her this well-deserved promotion.”

Flynn continued, “Amanda’s energy and innovative disposition is a natural fit, and we’re confident she’ll be a valuable asset as we delve into an exciting chapter at the company.”
