The torturous abduction of a young Swedish woman takes center stage in the true-crime series The Bunker. The three-part documentary tells the story of how Isabel Eriksson was drugged and kidnapped by Dr. Martin Trenneborg on their second date. Held in his makeshift bunker, Eriksson used her wits to survive and eventually managed to escape.
Executive producer John Mork (Under the Radar: Secrets of a Swedish Serial Killer) takes TV Real Weekly behind the scenes of the doc, which shines a light on Eriksson’s exposure therapy when she returns to a bunker reconstructed to resemble the site of her captivity.
The Bunker is being sold globally by Viaplay Content Distribution and is currently streaming in the U.S. and the U.K. on the Viaplay streaming add-on service on Prime Video Channels, with a planned launch in Germany on April 7.
