TGC GE Unveils Acquisition Slate & Promotion

TGC Global Entertainment (TGC GE) has inked the first deals for NRK’s Code Red: The Lighthouse and made several other announcements about its London TV Screenings lineup and a new hire.

Code Red: The Lighthouse has been optioned by Endemol Shine in Germany and ALP in France. The series explores human behavior, trust, leadership and morality under pressure as audiences follow ten celebrities stranded on a remote island with nothing but a lighthouse and each other.

Code Red: The Lighthouse stood out because it delivers tension through concept and location, not through noise,” said Fabian Tobias, managing director at EndemolShine Germany. “The lighthouse setting is instantly iconic and naturally creates pressure and conflict—it’s a premium reality engine. That’s why we moved early, before the original has even launched. We see strong potential for a standout German adaptation.”

At the London TV Screenings, headlining its slate is a revival of a new but classic hit game show, Cash Battle, that has enjoyed success in its original territory, Poland. The fast-paced general knowledge format sees three teams of four family members or friends compete in bidding wars for the right to answer questions selected via a spinning wheel.

“We’re thrilled to be working with TGC Global Entertainment, format icon Phil Gurin and veteran Cecilia Ingebrigtsen, who recognized the potential of Cash Battle,” said Katarzyna Burzawa, director of non-scripted and format at the ATM Group. “ATM Grupa has produced nearly 300 episodes with Polsat over the years, including four new seasons since the 2024 revival. The show has won two Golden Telekamera awards for best entertainment format and best entertainment host. We cannot wait to support the rest of the fantastic, experienced TGC GE team on the worldwide distribution of our great format.”

In other news, Sunita Uchil, a veteran media executive with over 30 years of experience spanning television, radio and print, will now represent TGC GE’s formats in India and SAARC.

”As we approach the London screenings with our first-ever official screening session, we are delighted to see the team firing on all fronts,” said Gurin. “Sales of our latest buzzy title Code Red are heating up, there is widespread renewed interest in our classic hit The Singing Bee, Cash Battle from Poland adds another exciting new format to our curated international slate, and the addition of Sunita to represent us in the world’s most populous country expands our global reach.”
